The Blue Mermaid Island Grill is a Caribbean-inspired restaurant located in downtown Portsmouth, NH. They are open for lunch and dinner and have a full bar featuring Portsmouth’s best margaritas, tropical frozen drinks and unique draft beer selection. Their lunch and dinner menus include some of the most flavorful foods you can imagine, inspired by the fun and festive foods of the Caribbean.
Their menu selection features many delicious seafood, beef and chicken dishes, sandwiches, burgers, salads, small plates and entrees. They also features a unique wood-grilled seafood selection with your choice of many salsas, glazes and sauces and a selection of side dishes. Each meal begins with tortilla chips and some of their award winning Fire Roasted Salsa.
An award winning restaurant, some of their awards include being chosen by New Hampshire Magazine as Best Fusion Cuisine in 2003 and one of NH’s “Best Seafood Restaurants” in 2005, and selected as a New Hampshire Restaurant Neighbor Award winner by the National Restaurant Association for 2005.

They are located in an historic building at 401 "The Hill", behind the new Hilton Garden Hotel and across the street from the main parking garage on Hanover St. Parking is also available at the restaurant by entering the parking lot through Deer Street.
